Mayor's Award - Best overall
The Mayor's Award will go to the best front yard garden out of all the nominations that come in (no separate submission needed).
Civic Beautification - 2 awards per ward
Two awards will be given per ward for properties that have given outstanding contributions, special thought and effort towards a front yard landscape that is environmentally sensitive and contributes to the beautification of our Garden City.
Considerations:
Design features, including originality and creative thought
Use of native trees and shrubs
Pollinator plants
Use of mulch or rain barrel
Implementing edible gardens into the landscape while still contributing to neighbourhood curb appeal
Special features, highlights, or extraordinary efforts
This award is given to an individual or community organizations for a significant contribution to greening the community and inspiring others to do so as well.
Community's Choice Award
Submit photos or videos as nominations of your favourite garden/property. Top photos/videos will be chosen for the public to vote below and on our social media platforms.
