Consultation has concluded

Approximately a year ago, City staff delivered a survey requesting feedback on a proposal to prohibit parking on one side of Andrea Drive. Staff indicated that they would only consider moving forward with the prohibition if the majority of survey respondents were in favour. Most survey respondents weren’t in favour, so no action was taken.

City staff have now been requested to assess parking issues related to school pick-up and drop-off. It has been contended that during these time periods, there is significant parking on Andrea Drive, which unduly congests the street. Staff reviewed the request and are prepared to consider prohibiting parking on the east side (even numbered side) of Andrea Drive, from Rykert Street to the curve in the road, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., on school days only. Under this scenario, dual-side parking will be permitted in the evenings and on weekends and holidays.

In order to gauge the level of support for the proposal, we are requesting that you complete this short survey by 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 17, 2023.

Similar to the previous parking survey, this prohibition will only be considered if the majority of survey respondents are in favour.

Residents will be notified if the parking prohibition is approved. No notification will be sent if the parking is to remain as is.

Only one vote will be counted per household.
