Consultation has concluded

The City is committed to improving the active infrastructure on Dorothy Street by constructing a new sidewalk. This sidewalk will connect an existing dead-end section at Wolfdale Place to the adjacent sidewalk at Ernest Street. The sidewalk will only be constructed on the NORTH side of Dorothy Street. With the proposed sidewalk, all on-street parking on the NORTH side between Wolfdale Place and Ernest Street will be removed.

The proposed construction project includes:

• New Sidewalk Construction

• Ditching/Drainage Improvements

The City has heard the preliminary comments from the residents and we are trying to accommodate everyone’s needs. With the proposed sidewalk alignment on the North side, we eliminate the impact of a major interface of multiple mature trees, landscaped areas, and residents' abilities to park in driveways.

The tentative construction start date is August 2022. During construction, parking along both streets will be restricted, so we ask residents to please park in their driveways or find alternative parking on the nearby streets. The contractor will notify residents if their driveway will be blocked off during concrete pouring.
