Update: Our feedback form has now closed. Thank you for your input. It will be shared with Council members and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. With the announcement on April 2 by the provincial government of the proposed the Better Regional Governance Act, 2026 that would, if passed, make a number of changes to the way regional governments function, the Province is also accepting comments on its proposal through to May 2.

As discussions continue about the future structure and delivery of local government services, the City of St. Catharines is inviting residents to share their feedback and perspectives on regional governance reform in the Niagara Region.

At its March 2, 2026 special meeting, St. Catharines City Council asked that residents be provided with an easy way to share their voice. All submissions through this page will be collected and shared directly with:

  • Ontario Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing Rob Flack
  • Members of St. Catharines City Council
