Consultation has concluded

City staff have received a petition to prohibit parking on Cecil Street. It has been submitted that the presence of parked vehicles on both sides of the street impedes driveway access/egress and makes it challenging to navigate through this area.

Staff have reviewed the request and are proposing that parking be prohibited for the first 200 metres on the north (odd-numbered) side and that a standard corner parking prohibition be implemented on the south (even-numbered) side. This is similar to the bans implemented on the east end of Cecil Street. The City is not prepared to consider extending the parking prohibition on the south side.

A diagram showing the proposed parking prohibitions:

In order to gauge the level of support for the proposal, we are requesting that you complete the short survey below before 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 20, 2023.

Residents will be notified if the parking prohibition is approved. No notification will be sent if the parking is to remain as is.

Only one vote will be counted per household
