Derby Lane / Shetland Crescent Parking Poll

City staff received a petition requesting that parking be prohibited on one side of Derby Lane and Shetland Crescent. It has been submitted that parking on both sides of the street inhibits traffic flow.

Staff reviewed the request and are proposing to prohibit parking as per the map below.

Staff will only move forward with implementing the parking prohibitions if the majority of survey respondents are in favour of the proposal. If the majority of respondents are opposed to the proposal, or there is insufficient feedback, no action will be taken, and the parking will remain as is.

Please note, since both roadways are of the same width, we will only consider parking prohibitions on both streets and not just one of the streets.

In order gauge the support for the proposal please complete the short survey below by Jan. 31, 2022
