Let’s Talk Parks, Recreation and Culture Pricing

The City of St. Catharines Parks, Recreation and Culture Services department is looking for your input on what recreation and culture activities and programs you value most!

This community outreach is a part of the second phase of the Let’s Talk Parks, Recreation and Culture Pricing initiative. The goal of the pricing policy is to develop a consistent approach for how the City charges for parks, recreation and culture programs and services. Consistent pricing will also allow the City to put funds where there’s most value to the community.

The development of a pricing policy is a recommendation within the City's ten-year Recreation Master Plan, and a priority for the Recreation Master Plan Implementation Advisory Committee.

The City is hosting a series of public consultations to solicit community input on the value of its recreation and culture activities. The meetings are scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre; Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre, and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Russell Avenue Community Centre.

If you missed our public meetings, please take the time to complete our online survey. It will close Nov. 8. Include your email address at the end for the chance to win one of three $10 Tim Hortons cards. Please note, the survey questions will be the same that will be asked during the public consultation. We are asking residents to only complete the survey if you have not provided feedback at one of the open house events)
